*********************** CURRENT CONTEST INFO ***********************

Thanks for all the 7QP Qs.  I also worked some INQP and New England QP contacts.  All have been uploaded to LOTW, but I forgot to change my QTH back to KS after the OK QSO Party.  I corrected that and re-uploaded my log.  Let me know if your Kansas LOTW contact didn't come through.

**************** KANSAS SESQUICENTENNIAL QSO PARTY INFORMATION *****************

CQ KSQP de K0S/m from 34 counties!

Thanks for 1918 mobile Qs as I operated K0S/m and my XYL Lorna (K0WHY) drove during the Kansas Sesquicentennial QSO Party on August 27-28! We were part of a group of 33 1x1 calls spelling both KANSAS and SUNFLOWER. Here's the link to the 1x1 Checklist from the KSQP home page in case you're trying for a certificate. My S counts for one of the S letters in KANSAS and also for the S in SUNFLOWER.

The W0BH Award to the stations who worked me most overall, most CW, most SSB and most counties was swept by N6MU this year, who also completed what is most likely the first ever Kansas County Sweep. Congratulations, John!

-------------------------------------------

W0BH KSQP Schedule and Map- Lorna kept me on schedule both days, after a slight glitch at the start.

**************************QSL INFORMATION**************************

My QTH is McPherson County, Kansas : EM18, CQ 4, ITU 7. All contest and QSO Party contacts worked from the home QTH from 1996-2010 have been uploaded to Logbook of the World, and 2011 contacts are uploaded shortly after the event. I'm on file with the Bureau and will try to reply to direct QSL cards in a week or less. For QSL direct, PLEASE INCLUDE A SELF-ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE (SASE).

I don't upload mobile QSO Party contacts to LOTW unless requested. Just email me and I can upload a particular contact for you.

Look for me mobile in Oklahoma, Nebraska, Kansas and Texas QSO Parties in 2012. Check out the KSQP details at http://www.ksqsoparty.org.

***********************GENERAL INFORMATION***********************

If you just looked me up during a contest and we haven't worked yet, PLEASE CALL!

If you're new to contesting, I'll be happy to help you with the exchange.

If we made contact, THANKS!

I enjoy travelling with my wife, Lorna (K0WHY) and take the ICOM 7000 and 706MkIIG with Hustler verticals along for the ride. The photo shows the current mobile setup. In between travelling, I teach Computer Science, Aviation and Air Traffic Control at Hesston College and enjoy working with the Hesston College Amateur Radio Club as trustee of club call K0HC.

Lorna and I were also the "Rover" half of the first recorded "Worked All States: Single Rover" with Nelson, N0LRA in Hesston, Kansas. Look for my article with the same title in the February 2009 issue of QST. Here's a link to "the rest of the story" which also includes details and photos of Nelson's dipole box mentioned in the article.
