I am in myseventh year as president of the Moore Country ARS and my eighth as editor of the clubs monthly newsletter. In addition, I am net control for the club's twice weekly 2m net, teach classes for folks preparing to take ham exams, and I am a VE team leader. I am retired and a widower so it is fun to have something I need to do on a regular basis.
I came into ham radio after years as a BCB DXer and SWL and I love to chase DX on the ham bands. I have well over a hundred countries in my log. I particulaly love to work a six meter opening and I enjoy working digital modes (particularly PSK, Hellschreiber, Olivia, and WSJT). On HF I can most often be found on 10, 17 or 20 meters.
Aside from ham radio, I spend time doing work for my church, reading, taking care of cats and dogs, watching TV
Good DX and enjoy ham radio!
