I was first licensed in the 1950's as 4S7IW (Sri Lanka) where I lived and worked for seventeen years. I obtained G3UZI when I returned to the UK.

Other calls I have used over the years are MP4BGS (Big Gulf Station Bahrain!), MP4DAU (Das Island), MP4TCD (Trucial States, now United Arab Republic) and MP4MPD (Muscat and Oman).

I am currently operating an IC746 Pro. My antennas are a GAP Challenger vertical and an approx 66-ft wire to a tree, using an SGC-237 tuner.

Having constructed and used many different Heathkits in the past I now have a small collection, including a DX-40 (my first bought transmitter when I was 4S7IW) and some others.
