The Tamiami Amateur Radio club was organized almost 50 years ago to serve the Venice and surrounding area with emergency communications. The founders of our club realized that it is of paramount importance to organize the amateur radio operators in the area, to promote training and provide community service. We have had a proud history. The members also meet each Tuesday and Friday at 7:30 AM for breakfast at Peach's Restaurant located in the shopping center at Center Road and Jacaranda Boulevard, Venice. Come and join the fellowship of fellow hams. Regular meetings of the Tamiami ARC are at 7:00 pm on the second Wednesday of every month in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary training facility 1200 South Harbor Drive, Venice, just west of the Venice Municipal Airport. Following a brief business meeting, at all meetings there will be a discussion or presentation of current technologies or interesting topics in Amateur Radio.
