Short bio: First licensed in 1982 as KA1JCW out of Rockland, MA. While stationed at Keesler AFB, upgraded to technician and received new callsign KC5JIT. Moved to Virginia, received callsign KF4OGY. Upgraded to General, then Advanced, then Extra, got vanity call W4ADR. Moved to England, reciprocal call M0CRE. Moved to Italy, never received reciprocal call thanks to Italian gov't beauracracy : ) - but loved living there otherwise. Moved to Centerville, Georgia (mailing address = Byron, physical residence = Centerville) from 2006-2011, then moved to Queidersbach, Germany. Haven't been able to file for German reciprocal license yet, will edit this post when I have it.
Equipment: Currently running a Yaesu FT-847 usually at 100W. Antennas are a 15 meter straight dipole pointing East-West and a sloped inverted vee pointing North. Also have an MFJ Versa Tuner II (MFJ-941E). For local work, I use a Yaesu VX-5R with a variety of antennas, an Icom IC-207H in my truck, and I have a Yaesu FT-11R connected through a 30W amplifier to a Ringo Ranger in my attic.
