I have been an active radio amateur since 1982, mostly focusing on CW operation and CW contesting in particular. I have also been employed in the ham industry for most of my adult life. Employee of Ham Radio Outlet-Atlanta 1994-1995. Product Manager for Amateur Radio equipment for Ten-Tec from 1997-2009 (worked for TT from 1995-2009). I left Ten-Tec after purchasing the Vibroplex Company on December 21, 2009. I moved Vibroplex to Knoxville, TN and now operate the business as my full-time profession.

In addition to W4PA, I passed the complete series of Canadian license exams in 2005 and hold callsign VY2PA.

My home QTH is a 6th floor loft apartment in an old downtown Knoxville industrial building that had former life as a coffee bean roasting facility and was redeveloped for residential use in 2009. The current gear is a Collins S-Line 32S1 / 75S1 with matching power supply station console and a Collins 30L1 amplifier to a top loaded wire vertical for 20 meters or various mobile antennas attached to the window frames 100 feet above street level.
