Born in Oceanside, California on Sept 3, 1936. moved to Texas at age 20 (I couldnt get there any sooner). First call was WA6LGT then WA5HLE and now W5JAI. Main interests are Sailing, Ham Radio, Computers, Flying, Collecting Antique Autos, in fact, collecting anything. I have an 8 car garage full of junk. My vocations are electronics engineer, writer (fiction, technical and screen play) actor, teacher. I currently run a 1958 Collins S-Line station as my "main" shack and Heath HW-101 as my "secondary" shack and I have an ICOM 725 in reserve for when I really get desperate.
