My first call was KN4DOD issued when I was a novice in 1960. However, K4DOD was already issued to a club station in Cordell Georgia, so when I received my General the following year I was issued the call W4YLE. Operating mobile, maritime mobile and portable has always appealed to me whether using a simple FM handheld or more elaborate HF SSB. Though I have never operated in a formal DX pedition, I enjoy traveling and operating either VHF, UHF or HF on cruises and in  countries where permitted. I have operated from SuperBowl 2009 and 2010. Also, from prefixes, VE7, KL7, V4, ZF, XE,WH6,VP2, VK,V4, V3, V2, SU, ON, OE, M, LX, KP4, JY, J7, J6,  I, HV, HBzero, HB, G, FT5Z, FS, FK, F, DA, 8P, 4X4. I also am a radio antique collector, provide housing and support for old homeless overweight radios and love to look at and collect old ham radio issues of QST, CQ, Callbooks and other electronic magazines.
