*GREETINGS FROM THE SONORAN DESERT ! * I began my amateur radio hobby at age
13(W0QYD)in St.Paul Minnesota in the early 50's. * I served in the US Navy in
the late 50's as a CW instructor and was then assigned to a Destroyer Vessel as
a "Navy Sparks" Radioman aboard the USS Steinaker ( DDR-863). *I am
semi retired working as an Independent Contractor in the Defense /
Military/Aerospace (Secure Programs)sector. *I have been 100% CW and will
remain that status since I believe it is truly an art all by itself.
*Currently, I am running a Kenwood TS-930S, IC-751 and my back up rig is a
IC_718. My antenna is a home brew 40 Meter outdoor dipole with a MFJ Antenna
Tuner MFJ-949E * My keyer's is a MFJ-422B PACE SETTER and a USN straight key
which I used while in the Navy. * I work 100 % cw on 80 through 20 meters and
will be listening for you on the bands and hope we can have another fine qso
soon. 73's Jack W5UAL
