First licensed in Chicago as KN9QCU in 1958 at the age of 14. Became K9QCU in 1959.

Came to Los Angeles in 1963, and was subsequently licensed as W6MJE (FCC mandated with call area change, "the way it should be") for more then 35 years.

Then reluctantly tried the Vanity Callsign program for the first time in 1998 with W6YYY.

Now the final chapter of my callsign journey seems to have been completed with W6TA in 2002.

So, as of 2012, this currently makes 54 years of Amateur Radio, continuously, and proudly still counting.

My QTH is locatednearthe top of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, (very close to where W6AM operated)overlooking the City of Los Angeles, as well as the Beautiful Pacific Ocean. Being about 1,400 feet above sea level, gives meexcellenttake-off anglesin most directions.

The K6RH (Rolling Hills Radio Club) repeater is also located at the QTH,which offersexcellent coverage on 440 MHz, in the Los Angeles Basin. This system is open, and is encouraged to be used by all interested amateurs, in the Los Angelesarea. Please checkwww.k6rh.org foradditional information.
