My handle is JAY - W7KBH - is the call sign my father had when I first got started in amateur radio around 1957 (at age 14). He was formerly W9FJK from Minn., Minn. and before the FCC even existed - pounded out cw on an old Ford Spark coil as: "GEG" - his initials. My father passed away in 1999 and I have resurected some of his old gear includung an old Viking Ranger - I hope to get on cw some day soon. I am formerly K7GIZ (my first call) and after a lapse was reassigned a new call - N7ORB. In memory of my father I have decided to awaken his silent key and carry on his "Ham" spirit as best I can. My mother "Joy" is also still active at 88 (Love & Kisses) years old - WA7WWM - mainly on 2 Meter Emergency radio Nets. Give us a call anytime you hear us on.

You can also find me on Echolink - I Run 2 Servers there (24/7): *LDSHAMS* for State side Nets, and *WW-MARA* (For World Wide Nets - as needed) - All Hams Welcome.  If your group needs Net time on Echolink - Email me and I'll setup a time slot for your.  Check them out for Occassional Special Nets on Echolink - Every 1st Friday + Special Occasion Nets!

Dec. 26, 2004 - I started helping with  Emergency Comm. using Echolink for the South East Asia Tsunami Disaster area. - The Echolink Server *ARICC* was originally set up by me to aid in this disaster.  After the disaster the server was changed to *CQICC* with the same node number (27422) and is more or less held in reserve for any future Disaster Comm. usage. As a result I also set up an Emergency Communication website that has a lot of good Ham links on it for EM Comm.  ALL on one Webpage - Check it out!!! - Now mainly for DX fun!!!

In Aug. 2005 I moved to Las Vegas & manage the other two Echolink Servers from here.  Email: W7KBH at cox dot net - JAY
