I just got started in Amateur Radio. My old call sign, K9ZHJ, once belonged to my uncle, Tom Hanrahan. After passing my Technician exam in September of 2009, I was able to get his call back. With the assistance of my elmer, N5FW, I am really enjoying this hobby. Passed my General exam in February of 2010 and the Extra in December of 2010. My rig is a stock Yaesu FT 897 D, Icom IC-2KL amp, Icom IC-AT 500 antenna tuner, with a Titan DX about 12 feet above ground behind my house.(in a restricted area), We are planning on adding a wire antenna for the 75 and 160 meter band this winter. Also a VE and member of the Maricopa Amateur Radio Association. I now have W8RH. No more call sign changes.
