I suppose it was inevitable that I become a Ham. My Dad ( Andy-K4ZLC/SK ) had been a Ham since the 50's, and my Grandfather ( Art-WA4EQO/SK ) became one shortly thereafter and both kept their licenses until their passing. I got my Technicians license on 5-5-2008 and was assigned KJ4DWU. I immediately filed for my Grandfather's old call under the vanity program and on 5-28-2008 I became the second person in the family to have the callsign WA4EQO. On June 7, 2008 I successfully upgraded to a General Class License. My home rig is an IC-706MKIIG with an AT-11MP Autotuner on awire dipoleantenna or 20 meter Delta Loop. . I use a Yaesu FT-7800R 2meter/440 Dual Bander for home and mobile. I am a voulnteer examiner and the ARES EC for Dyer County, TN.

I am good in the Buro on 3905 Century Club on 80 & 40 meters. Will also accept and send via EQSL.CC and LOTW. I am good in the DX Buro. Otherwise will QSL direct.
