I have been a ham since 1974. I love CW at 25-30 WPM but will slow it down if
you like. I got my Advanced License before the FCC started giving them away to
the people that did not want to work as hard as I did for them. Yes, I feel CW
should still be a requirement and 20 WPM for the Extra class. I seldom work SSB
and am very fond of my Vibroplex Bug. No keyer for me. Old school guy I guess.
I still enjoy my first love, Shortwave Listening. I always travel with my
little Sony radio. I love the Caribbean and Mexico. I say, If I'm wearing shoes
and socks, I'm too far North. I guess that sums up my tropical attitude. I have
visited 26 countries so far and have been on 21 cruises. I live to travel and
