WB8RCR has been an amateur for 25 years. Recently, I've operated almost exclusively CW QRP. I generally monitor 14.060, but if I suspect 10 or 6 is open, I'll head there. Not that I have anything against lower frequencies, occasionally I'll operate 30 or even 40, but with low power, higher frequencies seem to be more productive.

Besides hamming, and a little homebrewing, I'm also interested in computers and photography. In recent years (well, the last 30) I've become enamoured of Minolta gear, and tend to use them almost exclusively, although I have quite a variety of cameras collected over the years.

Although I was educated as a chemical engineer, I quickly got sucked into computers, and have been in that end of the chemical biz for over 20 years. I've hopped back and forth between the process computing and business computing aspects, depending on where the fun happened to be at the time. I have one lone publication, and one patent, both related to computing.

I'm not above operating FM from time to time, either, and most evenings a call on the Midland 147.00 repeater will raise me.
