Hi,
I have been licensed since the late 60's, when I was 14. Somewhere near the
time of the first satellite, Telstar. Since then, it has been interesting to
watch the way and manner of communication between people progressing onward....
and upward? Then radio was the thing, today.... radio is still the thing, along
with light... inside glass, otherwise known as fiber optic.... also known as
the internet.
Then I worked on a ranch/farm, and wished to be somewhere else, now, I work in
an equipment building on F.E. Warren AFB, installing and maintaining the radios
in a military envionment and wish I could spend more time with the Reg.
Quarterhorses that I raise and train.
Funny how it is that we are always looking on the other side of the fence....
and seeing greener grass.
I really enjoy contesting, antenna design and test, and dxing. Would be more
than happy to help others with whatever antenna question they might have.
And since I live and operate in Wy. A short note about QSL policy is in order,
since I handle 2 - 3 thousand card requests a year. Please, if you can, send
along a SASE, and on your card, note if we Qso'd during what contest on what
date/time in Zulu if possible. It is better that I do the conversion than to
have it wrong, if that is unhandy for you. I like QSL cards, any type, but
dislike spending hours looking for a QSO that took seconds to make and less to
log in the first place. And it is very likely we worked on cw. So, please qsl
with the assurance that I will too.
Maybe we can meet up one day, take care, and 73, Dale -WC7S-cw-QRP-Wy
