Born January 20, 1951 in Oceanside Calif.

My rig is a Yeasu FT 900 feeding a multiband vertical.  I am also a MARS member AFA2BV and work with a Base Support Team at Dobbins AFB. I work mainly CW with the bulk of my phone work on 2 meters. I did work SSB about long enough to attain WAS on 80M for my "GERITOL" number 1796. I currently need just a few more west coast states for WAS CW. Other awards include 1994 Ham of the Year from the Gwinnett Amateur Radio Society (W4GR formerly WD4JXR) and an Emergency Communications Commendation from the ARRL for work in the Georgia Floods of 1994.

Other Interests include: Woodworking / Cabinet making. Bluegrass Music (I play a bit of fiddle and Mandolin). Sailing, I have a 22' Venture that I take out on Lake Sidney Lanier about 15 miles away from my home. Computers, use to control my Yeasu FT 900 and do a bit of CAD work that augments my Woodworking. I am a lay-minister with a local Church of Christ. I have retired from Gwinnett County where I worked as a Waste Water Treatment Plant operator since 1981.
