Came to this hobby in 1959, after passing the tests and getting CE6EZ in Chile at age 16. An avid contester and DXer ever since, I moved to USA in 1995 and stayed QRT until December 2008, when I gave and passed both the Technician and General tests. 15 days later I passed the Extra test and applied for my present vanity call WE6EZ, only one letter off from CE6EZ which I still keep. Living in a brutally restricted section of Las Vegas, which does not allow antennas of any kind, I am now limited to hidden antennas behind the house. On 20 through 10 Mts. I'am using a Transworld TW-2010 5 band undercover antenna only 10' above ground, and a dual band inverted V for 80/40 Mts. laid on the roof with the feed point at 18'. None is visible from the street, and by running only 100 watts I avoid trouble with the neighborhood. In spite of poor conditions I have worked all Continents and DXCC on several bands. HOA's won't take away my love for Ham Radio! Last modified: 2011-01-22 01:49:40, 1032 bytes cached
