Greetings from The " COWBOY " State. Some where between no where and no place, where there are more COWS and less milk, more rivers and less water, and you can see farther and see less than any other place in the world.

I retired from the big brown machine in July of 2009. My wife ( WY7ML look up her call for foto ) retired in Dec of 2009. We now are enjoying living in the same house after five years of living in different cities. In June 2010 we began moving into our small Lake home which used to be our weekend get-a-way.

We will start work on our retirement home at our small 10 acre antenna farm in Pinehaven, Wyoming after we sell the Gillette house. The 2nd tower, a 56 foot Rohn Self supporting went up in June 2010. Thanks for WY7FD's help.

Below is an ariel view of the antenna farm located about 18 miles south of DEVILS TOWER, Wyoming made famous in the Movie "CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND ". At the time of this over flight only the 1st tower next to the house was up. Now the 2nd tower a 56 foot Rohn HBX (middle pink arrow)is up and the 3rd tower Rohn HBX 48 footer( far bottom right pink arrow )goes up spring of 2012.

First licensed in 1984 as KA7SQK Upgraded to Tech as N7HPW upgraded to General as N7HPW and Advanced as KE7NT. I Now hold the WY7LL call.

Main time is spent county hunting on 14.336 and 7.188. I Like to chase dx. The second Tower is up In Pinehaven and the summer of 2011 was nice enough to get the tower activated. Antennas are a three element tri-bander a 160 meter dipole and a homebrew ladderline fed all-band dipole I use from 6 thru 160 meters. More antennas coming. AND TOWERS. Also love RTTY contesting and am NOW on the air with PSK-31, HELL, SSTV and other digital modes using DIGITAL MASTER 780 software and the RIGBLASTER PLUG & PLAY. The TRANCEIVER is Icom 746 Pro, AEA PK-232MBX for RTTY contesting and a Rig Blaster plug & play for other digital modes and 600 ohm home brewed doublet dipole. I also run an Ameritron AL-80B into a Palstar AT1500DT Manual Antenna Tuner. My backup rig is ICOM 751 which I have had new since 1984 with an MFJ-993B AUTO TUNER .

After 25 years of chasing counties on a part time basis I was awarded the USA-CA Worked All Counties Award # 1184 from CQ Magazine on April 27th 2009. What fun that was over the years. Am now working on other aspects of County Hunting thru the MARAC group.
