I'm Gary, a radio ham since I was 17, previously licensed as G(W)4iFB (check the QRZ.com entry for G4iFB for more info). I emigrated to ZL in 2005 in order to 'be' DX.

I operate CW almost exclusively, apart from the odd SSB contest or occasional DXpeditioning. My main interests are HF CW DXing and HF CW contesting.

My station consists of Kenwood TS850s, a K2, an Amp Supply Co amplifier and various antennas - mostly wires in the trees or verticals on the lawn, plus a 3 ele tribander and a 5 ele single bander on 15m (when condx improve).

I reply to bureau and direct QSLs. If you want a direct QSL reply, please send an IRC or US$2 and an addressed return envelope. If you are happy to wait for a bureau card from me, either send me your card via the ZL bureau or just email me with the QSO details. I also upload my log to LoTW every few days when QRV so that's a quick and free option, though I still like to received QSL cards too.
