ALSO N6TNF. Currently working as a communications technician in
Gisborne. Interests include vintage "valve" radio
equipment (primarily military radio equipment), APRS, DFing,
microwave communications, and vintage telephone and telegraph
technology.
Active with the Gisborne Amateur Radio Club and constructing a
new UHF (70cm) repeater, to be known as Gisborne 950 (439.500
Mhz, minus offset). I hope to link this repeater, via I-link, to
the 1.2 Ghz (23 cm) W6GHZ repeater in Northern California. Other
projects on the club's agenda are several APRS digis, an ATV
repeater, and another UHF repeater to link into the New Zealand
National (repeater) System.
I am a memeber of the ARRL, NZART, New Zealand SPAM Group, and
on the Gisborne Amateur Radio Club committee. Regular radio
publications I receive include QST, Break-In (NZART), and
Electric Radio.
