Thanks for looking me up on QRZ! Please allow me to tell you about myself and my radio hobby. I enjoy CW,SSB, and PSK31 on all HF bands. I am a casual DXer, but I mostly enjoy a good "ragchew" on CW. My other amateur radio interests are 2M/440 repeaters, QRP portable HF operation, and public service communications. I love field day. Besides amateur radio, I thoroughly enjoy monitoring HF/VHF/UHF communications outside the amateur bands such as US Coast Guard, Air Traffic Control, military, police, fire, and other emergency frequencies.

STATION & EQUIPMENT: My primary HF station radio is a Icom IC-7000. Other radios in my ham shack include an Icom IC-735 HF radio, an Oak Hills Research QRP Classic, an Icom IC-2100H 2 meter radio, an Icom IC-207 2M/70CM radio, a Motorola Maratrac VHF radio, a Bearcat scanner dedicated to local public safety frequencies, a Radio Shack scanner dedicated to aircraft frequencies, and a Radio Shack DX400 HF/shortwave receiver. My shack computer is a Panasonic CF-28 Toughbook connected to a West Mountain Rigblaster Plus for HF digital modes. I use a Vibroplex Vibrokeyer paddle for CW. My scanners include a Uniden Bearcat 785XLT, a Bearcat 210XLT, two Bearcat 590XLT's, and the Radio Shack Pro-60. My primary portable radio is a Yaesu FT-60R dual band HT.

My HF antennas include a Moseley TA33JR Tri-band beam, a 135 foot doublet fed with ladder line, a 20 meter dipole, and a random wire (used for shortwave receive only). My VHF/UHF antennas include a Hustler G7-144 vertical, and Arrow dualband J-pole, a Cushcraft 11 element 2M yagi, and a VHF/UHF discone.

My two mobile radios are both Icom IC-208H dual banders. You may find me on any number of 2 meter and 440 repeaters in the RI area, especially 146.760, 443.850/447.425, 147.240, 449.675 repeaters or the KA1RCI Linked Repeater Network.

I work as a two-way radio technician, specializing in systems engineering & design, installation, and maintainance of radio systems and dispatch centers for police and fire departments.

I'm married with two college age sons. I enjoy the great outdoors including fishing, waterskiing, snow skiing, hiking, and camping. I love spending time at our family's lakeside cabin in Maine.

LASTLY BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY: I'm a bible-beleiving Born-Again Christian, and am active in our local independent Baptist Church. This was the best thing that ever happened to me. I hope that you too would seek out the truth of God's Word in the bible, come to trust Jesus as your personal savior and make him Lord of your life. May God Bless you and yours!
