I have been QRV since September of 2004, I was previously active under WV6SVW and WA6SVW from about 1961 to 1967, operating from Union City, CA and Fremont, CA until my license expired.

I currently the President of the Northern California DX Club (NCDXC) http://ncdxc.org, the co-sponsor of the International DX Convention at Visalia and a member of the Northern California Contest Club (NCCC) http://www.nccc.cc/.

I am also interested in Trains and Model Railroading (HO gauge), so AE6RR is a great call for me (not a vanity call)! The train pictured on my QSL card is a Western Pacific F7 locomotive that was part of a special running of the original California Zephyr. This train consisted of original restored cars including dome cars and a dome observation car. I rode this train in April of 2004. There is more information and pictures at http://www.trainsunlimitedtours.com, select "Past Tour Reports" and then "Domes to Reno".

My home QTH is in San Jose, CA, Santa Clara County, grid CM97, Santa Clara Valley Section at the mailing address. The current HF antenna is a G5RV Jr. (52 ft. long) on 40 to 6 meters. This antenna is about 2 ft. above the roof in a stealth installation. The main rig is a Kenwood TS-2000x with an Ameritron ALS-600S amplifier and a LDG AT-1000 Autotuner.

Since returning to the air in Sept. 2004, I have achieved DXCC (phone, mixed & 20M), WAC, WAS (20m mixed & 20m phone),CQ DX, WPX and the new CQ DX Field Award (106 fields worked/100confirmed at this time). I currently have 175 DXCC entities in the log with 173 confirmed.  I have 37 WAZ zones confirmed. All with wire antennas!

I appreciate all QSL cards and I QSL 100%. QSL direct, stamps or IRCs are not required, SA envelopes are appreciated. I also submit all logs to the ARRL Logbook of the World. I am good in the ARRL 6th District Bureau.

I am also active on local 2m, 70cm, and 23cm repeaters. I have done some satellite work, so far I have worked AO-27, SO-50, AO-51, FO-29 and VO-52. I have worked satellites both from the mobile whip on the roof and an Arrow hand held antenna from portable locations. You may also hear me on mobile with a Kenwood TS-480SAT and a Hamstick.

See you on the air!
