My amateur licence goes back to 1966. My education includes two graduations, one diploma as physicist from the Technical University of Berlin, and one diploma as electronic engineer for Telecommunications from the previous PTT University in Berlin. Professionally I am working in the quartz crystal industry since 1976. This includes companies like KVG (now Vectron International), Quarzkeramik (now also part of Vectron), and Tele Quarz (now Corning Frequency Control). In 2002 I have established my own Frequency Control company "AXTAL - Advanced XTAL Products" (see www.axtal.com). I have published a number of technical and scientific papers and a book on Quartz Crystals, Oscillators, and Filters. It is in German. Title: Das grosse Quarzkochbuch (The Crystal Cookbook). My Radio Amateur activities unfortunateley have been low for several years, but I hope to come back soon again. My 10m telescopic tower is waiting since more than 10 years to get equipped with some RF radiationg devices.

My Amateur radio preferences are Shortwave, including CW on the "new WARC bands" and LF. I am member of the DARC (Deutscher Amateur Radio Club), an associated with the "DOK A06", region Heidelberg.
