Hello dear OM/YL and thanks very much for looking up!
Being now 43 years old, I started my amateur radio career in 1982. The first license was acquired in former Yugoslavia, at my age of 14. It was a nice time spent in and organized by radio club Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where I made a profound and important experience in dealing with the very first computers, satellite operations, HST, DXing, SSTV, ARDF, etc. With the time my fascination turned mainly to Radio Sport, to make me spend a lot of days of my youth on the mountaintop located station. Contesting remained to this day my biggest passion. After a break of almost 18 years, due to University and family commitments, I found the way back to HAMRadio in 2007
Since 1992 I live in Germany, happily married to Evelyn and proud of our sons Miron and Immano. 2002 I have founded and since then run my Office for Commerce and Project-Consulting and -Management. The German license was in pocket 2004, but DK6XZ was in the air first three years later. That was my "Revival".
My home is Pforzheim, the city of gold. The 117 000-inhabitant city is not only known for the excellence in jewelry industry and watchmaking art, but is often called the gateway to the Black Forest ( Schwarzwald ). Interesting: Bertha Benz from Pforzheim was playing a key role in the development of the automobile industry. She strongly supported her husbands project and helped Karl Benz to develp and patent the very first gasolin-powered car. 125 years ago ( 2011 ), she drove the patented car with her sons from Mannheim to Pforzheim, being the first person in the world to drive a real distance with a car. It was the begin of Mercedes-Benz. In addition, our city hosts the seat of the fine antenna manufacturer Optibeam.
Since we reside in the downtown and our penthouse apartment being very unfavorable laocated, at the lowest point in the valley, the opportunity to establish any serious antennas there is not given. For the occasional "Go Into" I use a multi-band vertical Windom, running barefoot my Yaesu FT-1000 MP.
More often I actually operate the Clubstation of Mercedes-Benz Works Rastatt, DL0MB ( DM0B ), that is equipped with two towers and quite a few antennas: KLM KT34 @37m, Optibeam OB4-40 @33m, Optibeam OB16-3 @18m, some slopers and loops for 40/80, GP for 80m/160m and a ~90m long bi-directional (NW/SE) Beverage. We are just few guys in the club, but we have a lots of fun together and enjoy DXing and Contesting.

My general conclusion about the amateur radio: In addition to technology and natural phenomena, I think, the most fascinating thing in our hobby is still the Human. In our global community we have really lots of different types of them. When we share our frequencies and communicate to eachother in humility it makes us better and opulent people!
