Click for more detail... Licenced since 1991 with the first of the Novice class A License. The same year passed the RAE and acquired the the full class A license. Now retired and enjoying operating, mainly CW, but also enjoy nets including the International Short Wave League Nets, RAOTA Nets, Peninsula Net and there are many more I enjoy listening in to. I also operate some Digimodes including PSK 31, WSPR and associated programs. DX are a rarity for me, but pleased to get one when I do, normally via CW. I also take an interest in SOTA. I am a member of our resurrected Radio Club, now with the title Forest of Dean Amateur Radio Group or FODARG, Web Address: http://www.fodarg.com My other interests include keeping my website up together, Meteorological interests, walking and trying to keep fit. My Radio equipment consists of a TS 450 Kenwood which I've had since new and a new addition to the fold, an FT-897 Yaesu for hopefully some portable work. My morse keys consist of a Samson Key with an MFJ Electronic Keyer for the ts-450, a Palm Key miniature paddle for the ft 897 and a couple of old navy straight keys, together with a single paddle vibroplex.
