Click for more detail... First licensed as KN7HSJ in April, 1959. Received Technician license in Sept.,1959. Six meter activity was high, and I immediately built a receive converter for six. Shortly thereafter, a two tube transmitter for six. For three years, I was in California as WA6JDZ. The Sacramento Radio Club were great builders and mentors, and I built a 6360 tripler to use with my SCR522, and converted an ASB7 radar receiver for 432. Back in 7-Land, I built 2 meter, 220 and 432 rigs from scratch. all was AM and CW then. Inspired by Frank Jones' Handbook, I built a 2C39 tripler, and got on 1296. Since then, I have expanded my interest to microwave - through 10 GHz. Primarily active on 6M and 2M SSB and CW, but would heartily welcome anyone interested in 1296 MHz through 10GHz.
