Licensed since 1959.  Early interests were traffic handling from QTH at Burlington, WA and raising heck with other teens on 3920 kHz, often driving the "old timers" crazy!  Became active on VHF in the early 60's, and am currently on 6/2/222/432 mHz with decent antennas and 100 watt power or a bit more depending on the band.  Also enjoy operating vintage tube equipment on AM on 3870/7290 and ten meters when that band is open.  Gear mostly Kenwood and Icom; vintage gear includes Collins R390A paired with a B&W 5100, and a Collins 75A1/32V3 combo.  Radio op in the Navy from 1964-69 (reserve and regular) assigned to COMFIRSTFLT in San Diego.  Great weather down there!
