As of 6-01-04, Age 52, married 19 years with two sons, ages 14 & 16. Lifelong
resident of Cleveland, Ohio, area. Began radio hobby at age 13. Became
interested in ham radio in 1967 at age 15 & spent next 4 yrs as an SWL
collecting amateur QSL's worldwide. In 1972, I started a career in radio
communications, that has involved the building and maintaining of mobile radio,
mobile telephone, SMR, & radio paging systems. After starting work in radio
biz, and struggling with CW, I put the hobby on hold for a while. A while
became 28 years. First licensed in early Feb, 2000, and upgraded to Advanced
later the same month. Got on the air in late March, and been having fun ever
since. I work HF (160 thru 10) and VHF (6 & 2) both CW & SSB with my TS-570
D(G), FT-897, & FT-920, along with local FM repeaters with my TM-G707. I also
work mobile/portable with an IC-706 MK II-G & AH-4 Tuner. I am still employed
in the radio biz, now in the field of mobile GPS tracking. Member ARRL, Medina
2-Meter Group & FISTS Club (#7957). I QSL 100%, both hams and SWL’s.
