This is a picture of my portable amateur radio station, on the California coast taken during the ARRL 2008 January VHF sweepstakes in one of the rarest grids in the Continental US, CN71... During this contest alone the Unlimited Rover team consisting of myself, KE7V, N3QQ, and a non-licensed "driver",  travelled over 1500 miles and activated 15 grid squares, beginning in CN84 and ending in CN 87,  visiting CN83, CN74, CN73, CN72, CN71, CN70, CN80, CN90, CN91, CN92, DN02, DN03, CN93, CN94, CN95, CN85,  and CN86 along the way.

As the only one entered in this category, I got a nice piece of wallpaper from the ARRL...
