ex-KB2INO, ex-KM5XD

I've been a ham since the summer of 1989.

In November 2003 I moved out of my house :(

(I had a 160 quarter wave vertical and a 50 foot horizontal dipole up ~70 feet).

After moving around for a bit, in August of 2006 I settled in a Condo Community. Because of my antenna limitation, I now mostly operate the FM LEOSATs and occasionally VHF SSB... when I am not busy.

I also work the FM LEOSATS when I am mobile! This is possible if the LEOSAT is ~20 degrees or higher.

My QTH antennas are :

1 - 2 mtr 5/8 wave antenna, which I use for 6-mtrs and HF

2 - 6-mtr j-pole antenna - horizontally polarized

3 - 2-mtr squalo antenna - horizontally polarized

Main QTH Radios are

1 - IC-703 - HF through 6 mtrs

2 - IC-2100 - 2-mtr FM

3 - Icom IC-275H - 2 mtr all mode

4 - Yaesu FT-650 - 6 mtr all mode

I listen to 146.52 and the local repeaters.

In the car I have an FT-8900 quad-bander and a second radio, the second radio in the car is dependent on the mood I am in :

1 - Radio Shack Mobile FRS

2 - Kenwood TM-541 - 1.2 GHz FM

3 - Kenwood TM-255a - 2 mtr all mode

4 - Kenwood TS-60 - 6 mtr all mode

I also enjoy bike riding, amateur-astronomy, reading, and am a part time student.
