Have been licensed since fall of 2005. First DX was 3Y0X on phone about a week
after I'd passed my General. Since that time I've been smitten by chasing DX.
Current total is 120 confirmed, 150 in the log.
Since I got my K2 in May of 06 my operating has primarily been CW. I'm a tad on
the slow side, but, it's great to make those contacts, both stateside and DX.
I primarily operate with 100 or less. Warmer months see me tinkering with QRP
gear and operating in the sun.
Station consists of K2/100 W/KAT.
I've got a Begali Simplex that I purchased at Dayton from Mr. Begali that I
really love. I don't think I'll be able to stop at just one.
I live in town, and haven't pursued getting aluminum in the air. I spend a fair
bit of time modeling and experimenting with wire antenna configurations in my
back yard. I primarily utilize a 40M vertical, an 80M L, and a 20M half-square
with various other bits of wire that come up and go down when the weather isn't
too cool.
I have have QSL'd every contact, and will continue to do so! Bureau or Direct.
Many thanks to the N0MA crew for giving me an interest I didn't know I had, and
then hanging around to answer the millions of queries I seem to be able to
generate.
