well..It is a real nice installation, rohn 25g at 58 feet, double guyed with
phillystran!!! ..I am proof you can have full size antennas on a city
lot!!!..The tennadyne works great and i use inverted vees for 80 and 40 meters
with a loaded dipole for 160..
Thanks everyone for your help and dont forget about the paris hamfest!!!
Hello and thanks for checking out my Bio...My name is Richard Lenoir..I live in
the big city of Paris Tx..I am 39 years old and work in sales... I got into
radio as a kid listening to shortwave..I got my ham license in the early
90's(no code tech) and then passed a 5wpm code test..I used to run alot of VHF
and 10 meters...I did get out of radio for several years but in the later part
of 2004 I bought a house and put up a couple of antennas and once again the Ham
bug bit...I took the general test and passed in december 2004 . On June 25,2005
I passed the Extra class exam. I really enjoy hf, you can catch me on all bands
from 160 meters to 70 cm...I still like to do some shortwave listening..
Right now my main hf rig is a Yaesu Ft-2000, I use a Senheiser 421 mic into a
W2IHY 8 band eq and then into an EQ PLUS...For amplifiers i use a Heathkit
sb-1000 (single 3-500z) and a old heathkit sb-220 (2-3-500z) I now use a
tennadyne t-12 log periodic for 10-20 meter operation...I use inverted vees for
the lower bands..I also have up a ground mounted Hustler 5btv vertical with
about 24 burried radials, it covers 10 -80 meters....On vhf currently I use a
icom v8000 with a 160 watt amplifier (if needed) , i also have dedicated fm
rigs always monitoring 10 meter fm, 6 meter fm, and 440 mhz fm...In the mobile
i run a Yaesu ft-857D for hf with a texas bugcatcher
