First trip to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam was great, between Nov. 16 to 30, 1999 for two and half weeks of ham radio operating and touring. I got about 1700 contacts and will make more trips to Vietnam. Stay tuned. Call sign is 3W6DK operating on 10,15,20, and 40 meter bands. Future trips may also include an IOTA depending on funds. ***** QSL Bureau (outside USA) or direct SASE, Greenstamp SAE, or eyeball (or via Bureau) for 3W6DK and NØODK (and 3W2DK). Also sometimes use WF5E QSL service. I will 100% QSL return back if in log! I want to finish my DXCC! Not a lot of QSL requests on Vietnam card. Bad QSL return rate. I need North Dakota next trip. Some trips not operating radio. Sorry no eQSLs.***** Older logs now in LoTW. Newer logs will be awhile before on LoTW. I want QSL cards more! Member of Stillwater Amateur Radio Assn in MN, Twin City DX Club - TCDXA, ARRL, and couple other clubs. (President of TCDXA 2008 and 2009. Vice-President of Stillwater Amatuer Radio Assn. 2008.) Worked 335+ IOTAs. 256+ IOTAs confirmed. And 160 meter WAS SSB awards, I have ONE state left to finish WAS award (Hawaii !!). Hawaii stations want to try to SKED, please let me know!!! Finished 80M SSB WAS award. (Jan.2006) I have just started 40 meters WAS, more then 46 confirmed. I am very active on 160 meters. I have not tried hard on awards yet. I enjoy QSOs most with Asian countries and learning about them. I read and study Asian culture and other things about them. Enjoy ham radio, reading book (books), photography, wood working other hobbies. I try to collect CW keys and bugs. Looking for 15m monoband yagi (or maybe QUAD). Also QSO on Echolink at times. I would like to operate with a group on a large DXpedition. Watch me for future Vietnam and Asian trips soon. Outlook looks like fall/winter 2010 or 2011 for Vietnam for radio operating. Trips to VN may OR may not include radio operating. I want good conditions for over in Vietnam for bad noise on bands from the city there is bad enough. Some of the projects I want to start are operating on an IOTA, get back into QRP, and get on low bands while in Vietnam. I hope to try some digital modes soon.
