^^ That's me at my FORMER work QTH. (Yes, I miss it!) :(

Please note: I'm *NOT* into "paper chasing" AT ALL!

I cannot QSL because I don't have a card, and no local drugstores sell postcards! (I checked) So, please understand that I don't have anything to send back! (I will use eqsl.cc from time-to-time.) If you're not into paper QSL'ing, great!! Give me a holler! I like to just ragchew!

I also REALLY dislike "contests", You can't have any kind of ragchew and get to know the guy at the other end with that constant "CQ CONTEST!" going on up and down the band and on top of your QSO! :( Anytime there is a contest going on, I will be FAR away from it! :P

How do I support my hobby? ;) I used to work for a Christian radio station, WFIF 1500am. (That picture was taken when I was still at "The BIG Rig!") I am looking for other Christian Hams, also. (I try to check in to the BIBLE FELLOWSHIP NET on 3875 whenever my morning schedule permits. There is also the Spirit Net on 3906 at 9pm Eastern!)

Here is a very good list: http://www.mymorninglight.org/ham/C'n-Nets.htm

I've been a HAM since 9/92, and started PSK31 on 10 meters on 9/1/01. It is my favorite mode! I have a special page of PSK31 OPERATING TIPS! Check it out, and let me know what you think! http://www.mymorninglight.org/ham/psk.htm (all lowercase)

My rig is an ICOM IC718. It's great! Just the essential features, and a solid performer! I am VERY pleased! Good rig for the money!

I love homebrewing, building & working with computers, making simple WEBsites, and Christian music. :) I've been a Christian since 1985.

Locally (New Haven county, CT) I'm usually on the 441.700 repeater when I'm in my car. When I'm in Norwalk (I now work for West Mountain Radio) I'll be on the 146.775 machine.

Otherwise, look for me on 20 Meters PSK31, or somewhere on 75M running AM with my homebrew transmitter & HOMEBREW RIBBON MIC!! :)

My special HAM-RELATED WEBsite is up! With pix of my messy shack, other interesting Radio tidbits, important links, and also pics & schematics of some of my homebrew rigs, microphones, projects, etc! I also have a schematic for a simple soundcard-to-rig interface that you can build for a few bucks! I also have diagrams & photos of HOMEBREW RIBBON MICROPHONES you can build for next-to-nothing! http://www.mymorninglight.org/ham/ribbon.htm

SOAPBOX MODE ON: I am sick & tired of all the "R" and "PG-13" rated "girlie" pics on SSTV! Good grief... do these guy's XYL's know what they're doing? I'm embarassed to bring my XYL or my neices & nephews into the shack with the SSTV running! SHAME ON Y'ALL!!! Get the PG13 & R rated pix off the air, OK, PLEASE?!?!?!? USE E-MAIL for that stuff!!! It's PRIVATE, better quality, and you won't be risking exposure of that garbage to MINORS!

(Stepping onto other soapbox)

After building and using my homebrew 55 watt AM transmitter, I'm quite disgusted with those certain LIDS who are operating in the 75M AM Window. My comments, here, pertain SPECIFICALLY to the LIDS, *NOT* to the general population of users in the AM Window, many of whom are fine people. I have had a number of excellent QSO's, but I have also heard plenty of extremely obnoxious nonsense. <:(

The persons to whom this comment applies, are the ones who make the rude, obnoxious comments & NOISES, overmodulate, harrass new people, have "Key-over" contests (just like CB'ers), throw carriers, swish their VFO's, and act like they own the frequency, etc. If this is NOT YOU, then you don't have anything to be upset at me about. :) If it IS you, then you have a choice... change your behavior, or wait for the FCC to take action. That's all I'm going to say about that, here.

(SOAPBOX MODE OFF.)
