I was first licensed in 1989 and passed my 5-WPM Code test in May of 2003. I really enjoy CW and have made about a dozen contacts on HF. I just recently recieved a 2-letter call VE7HJ, and will keep both for the time being.

The photo is my XYL and our trusty dog Mango, who is becoming a bit of a DX HoundHiHi. The picture was taken in a friends shack (VE7CAH)in Halfmoon Bay B.C. The XYL and I like to get out of the city which allows me to work portable from some beautiful locations on the Sunshine Coast B.C.

Update May 2005, the dog is doing well she sits on my lap in the shack as I am working CW or SSB. She seems to be quite taken with the XE stations. It must remind her of her roots. Oh yeah the XYL is also well but she leaves the dog and I to the ham radio hobby.
