Click for more detail... My rig is a Kenwood TS 450 S. Antennas are 1. 40 meter dipole at about 40 feet. 2. Ground mounted verticle with 30 radials, I have full 1/4 wave verticals for all bands from 30 meters to 10 meters that can be changed with nothing more than a thumb screw. 3. A tri-band dipole for 10, 15 and 20 meters (actually the driven element only from a Hy Gain Tri-Band beam). 4. An end fed random wire about 90 feet long. Can be tuned on any band and works as well as any of the other antennas. Other rigs are Kenwood TS-520s. Hallicrafters SX117 receiver, Hallicrafters HT-44 transmitter, Hallicrafters HT-45 amplifier. Home Brew 90 watt CW transmitter with pair of 807's for finals. ICOM IC255 2 meter xcvr (base station) Icom 2100 mobile 2 meter, KDK FM 2030 2 meter rig on base. I am a member of the Johnson County Radio Amateur Club and a control operator for the clubs 145.29 repeater. I enjoy both SSB and CW but my true love is CW. I am hoping to get on PSK31 and possibly other digital modes in the near future. I am active with Field Day planning and operation. My main interests are Elmering new hams to the hobby. Experimenting with antennas. Playing with various gadgets in the shack. My old call was WB0NVO (Not Vary Organized) New phonetics are (Does Everything Wrong) actually my initials. 73 Don Last modified: Tue Nov 25 11:11:43 2008 Does this page contain inappropriate content?
