I have been continuously licensed since November of 1946. My original call was W3MGL. I held several calls here and overseas during my military career. Because of the vanity program, I was able to obtain my original call. I am a founding member and first president of the Williamsburg Area Amateur Radio Club and a charter member of the Colonial Capitol Contest Club. I have won several contests operating as QRP, however, I am now back on medium power. I sold my legal limit amplifier and purchased an Ameritron AL-811H. (when I lived in Va.) Howerver since moving to Pa. I have acquried an Ameriitron ALS-500M solid state Amp. it is powered by an MFJ-4275MV, 75 amp. switching pwr. supply. My  friend, Hershel has my old call of W4TMN now and we diid operae at one time as a father/son team in contests. He is my "adopted" son and protege, so he is doing his best to make me look good, which is very difficult at times.!In July of 2009 we moved to PA. The antenna is a G5RV Jr. @ about 25  Ft. .The rradio is an Ten-Tec Jupiter Transciver. My new friend Justin KB3WGF and I are working on getting up a beam for 10-15-20. Stay tuned !
