At the age of 14 I came close to getting my Novice. A family friend and great CW Op., Hubert Thomas (W4CWT), tried to get me through then but cars, girls and horses was about all that was on my mind at the time. Now, 35 years later with the help of another friend, (John Hillsman, K9HE), I finally accomplished it getting my Tech in Feb. and my General in April. Hubert is now a silent key, but I hope he's looking down on me with approval. Now I’m sorry for the 35 years that I let slip by. My 14 year old son didn’t make the same mistake, he got his Tech. license in March 2001, passed his code May 12 2001 and received his General July 31, 2001. My other hobbies include Fly-Fishing, Hunting and target shooting. By profession, I’m a Bloodstock Agent. For you non-horse folks, I buy, sell, consult, and arrange matings, etc. for Thoroughbred Race Horses. My family has been in the horse business in some way for over 200 years.
