I am a General Class licensee active on HF and VHF and enjoy participating in various HF nets, HF DX, and other  QSOs on HF and VHF. I'm associated with Linn Co. (IA) ARES, Johnson Co. (IA) Severe Weather net, and SKYWARN.  In addition, I am a regular participant in 2m nets in six counties in Eastern Iowa.  If required, I can set up on either HF or VHF as an off-the-grid, portable, solar-powered station.

I hope to take up 2m DX someday once I have the rig to support that activity.
