My name is Selim, 25 years old, Turkish Cypriot origin born in Barking, East London and lived in Chigwell, Essex all my life.

I graduated from University in November 2009.

I started my radio hobby by listening to the HF bands back when I was 10 years old(1994), then i brought various scanners and used to listen to the airband (and other things) and of course 2M & 70CM with my best scanner i used to have which was a Yupiteru MVT-7100 (now bust)

Then in 1998 I got myself onto the CB which I regret.

I left the CB bands behind in 2003 as I passed my foundation course and I got M3EKF.

In 2005 I passed my intermediate course and got 2EØEKF

I use: SSTV & PSK31 on HF and 2M

I'm mostly heard on 2M on 144.725 FM on Thursday evenings for my local radio club net LEFARS (Loughton & Epping Forest Amatuer Radio Society) G4ONP, Starts @ 8:00pm and ends whenever we are all gone!

We also have a SSTV nights on 144.725 on a Friday where there is no club meet, Starts @ 8:00pm.

I am sometimes QRV on GB3DA (145.725) and on the 145.500 calling freq.

Sometimes QRV on 70.450 (4m) calling freq as well.

I am heard on 80M at some nights and 40M & 20M during some days.

Also i run a echolink node on 4M band (70mhz) through my own callsign 2E0EKF-L on 70.350, but be warned, because it has to be an attended station, the node isn't always on.
