I passed my Intermediate exam in March 2012 and I have got the callsign 2E0EYP. I passed my Foundation exam in September 2005 and I have got the callsign M3EYP. Thank you to Brian M0GOB for the tutoring of the Intermediate course and thank you to Phil G6AKK for the tutoring of the Foundation course.

My Dad Tom is a licensed radio amateur, his callsign is M1EYP. Before I was a licensed radio amateur, my Dad M1EYP did a hobby called "Summits on the Air" (SOTA). I joined my Dad on most of his SOTA activations and this is how I got interested in amateur radio. When I got my Foundation licence, I started doing SOTA myself. I have some achievements in the SOTA hobby, I am a Mountain Goat (1000 activator points), and a Shack Sloth (1000 chaser points) and I have the role of SOTA England Association Manager. I have activated all of the SOTA summits in England and I have activated some SOTA summits in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. My Dad M1EYP joins me on nearly all of my SOTA activations.

I also take part in the UKAC (VHF contests) on Tuesday evenings on 2m, 70cm and 6m.

The photograph shows me on the right with my Intermediate certificate and to the left is Mike M6BCV with his Intermediate certificate. Mike has an Intermediate callsign of 2E0CKK.

Thank you looking at my QRZ page.

Kind regards,

Jimmy 2E0EYP
