Click for more detail... I am now retired from being an engineer all of my working life. I "re-discovered" amateur radio in 2006, and passed my foundation licence in the same year and became an M3. In April 2008 i passed my intermediate exam and became a 2E0. I enjoy the dxing side of amateur radio, and do a lot of portable operation at various locations in the uk when the opportunity arises. I enjoy exchanging QSL cards, and am now active on PSK radio so maybe we will meet on the "waterfall". My radio is a Yaesu FT897D which i also use portable, my home ariels are a home brew 5 band trap di-pole at about 5 mtrs, and a Watson 2000 tri-bander for VHF. My other hobbies include photography, walking & cycling, and military model making, so i keep pretty busy. I am very pleased to be a member of S.A.D.A.R.S. (Stafford and District Amateur Radio Society) in England, and i can also be heard as MX0SPG while operating portable throughout the uk. From 8/5/2009 i am also DMC 2126, and from 03/07/2009 i am EPC 7857 Thanks for taking the time to look me up, and hope to talk with you sometime on the bands. Best 73's to you all and good DX.
