Hi, if you are looking at this you have either spoken to me or looked up my callsign. i aqquired my novice licence through mid ulster amateur radio club, in december 2005, and ran 10 watts only. i have now aqquired my intermediate licence in may 07, this lets me run a node on echolink node number is 339735 under the call 2I0YMF-L going out on 430.025fm and on 29.630fm,also find me under the call MB7IMF-L going out on 145.237.5fm node nummber(384564)

my working conditions are, as a multiband base station. I am using the KENWOOD TS-2000B, running through the KENWOOD RS 2000 head unit,with a MFJ 993B ATU. The mic is a  KENWOOD MC,60, also running the system through the ARCP-2000.radio control unit program,for HF work i  use a YAESU FT-1000MP with a ICOM SM-20 MIC.My antenna system for HF20 metres to 10 is aMA5B BEAN also a Carolian Windom 80 special,and a comet CHA-250BX11,7mts above ground . For fm work i use. A x510 n, dualband 2/70.Aerials seem to work well, for the link i use a x510 for rx on 2mts &70cm and a sirio  827 tunned down to 29.630 for rx on the 10mts link both work well.both links are cross banded  10/2mts .

My backup radio is the YAESU FT897D, for HF work+A  KENWOOD TS-440S.Also i have a YAESU FT-8900 for 10 mts and echolink,and a YAESU FT-1500 for 2mts echolink. Theres also a PHILIPS FM1000 for 4 mts(70mhz),and a YAESU

FT-9800r, which i intend to use more mobile ,in the summer time, with a watson w-7900 vertical antenna, also on the hf side i use the YAESU FT897D for mobile, running into a ATOM a77 multiband aerial. 2mt side of radio i use a TRIO TS-700 multi mode radio, and a YAESU,VX-7R for 6/2/70cms handheld for portable work + a few motorola gp68 for link work

I also work echolink under my call 2I0YMF-L or MB7IMF-L .My other interests are my 1983 VW Camper   what is used for weekends away and portable work
