Hi i have been into radio since the age of 11 passing my foundation and intermediate licences only a few years ago and finally passing my full exam and receiving my licence on 5th November 2009. I enjoy working on the HF band my favorite being 20/40 meters. I currantly have an ICOM 756 PRO 11,Icom SM-20 mic,amplifier by Linear Amp UK Ranger 811 with matching SPC Super Tuner  for home and a KENWOOD TS570 for portable,at home i have a homemade offset windom wire and  2 verticals in my garden one for 10 meter and one for 20 meters, i use  an OUTBACKER multi-band vertical for the car and  a RM mobile Amplifier. I love working dx mobile which is quite easy for me as i only live about 2km from a large mountain which is 1350 asl an exellent take off and view. My qth is in the SE part of Wales around 25 kms North East from the capital Cardiff in the smallest Welsh county Borough of Torfaen.
