Click for more detail... .Hi my name is Peter I live in a small town called Sixbells Abertillery its around 20 miles north of Newport in South east Wales in the county of Gwent.My stations QRP a IC 703 transceiver mobile, after passing my Intermediate exam upgraded to a Yaesu FT857D for 50w SSB mobile,and a IC718, plus a IC756 Pro 111 for home QTH, my new call-sign 2W0ZAE. My antennas various simple quarter wave wire helical mobile whips I passed my first licence 8/8/08 at 64 years old.I put up In January 09 a comet Cha 250b vertical at home QTH,sure was getting very cold sat in car on top of the mountain,but will still operate mobile again when ever weather is permitting.Home QTH is not the best of locations for ham radio,but I like a challenge,and when a DX contact is made with low power and a simple antenna its much more of a achievement and personal satisfaction for me.Thanks to all that I have had the pleasure to talk to best 73 to all. I always QSL 100% because I want to, but don't feel obligated to return a QSLcard.
