First licensed in 1973 as WN6VHV, later WA6VHV in 1974. My license changed to WA6IGR a few years later for remote control privileges. I have held the call sign ever since. I took time out from amateur radio for about 25 years and am just now getting back into it. Upgraded to USA Extra Class in January 2012. Volunteer Examiner with ARRL VEC.
Did my first hamming in the 1970's with the Newport Amateur Radio Society, in Newport Beach, California.
I now live in Israel and received 4Z5UG in August 2010. Founder of the Jerusalem Amateur Radio Society in Jerusalem, Israel. Maintain the 145.625 (R1) repeater that serves the Jerusalem area. Just got into Allstar in 2012 and finished my first Allstar node, 28422.

I also have a K2. I love the look and feel of the TS520. Feels like a real radio. I love the K2 because it was designed by my good friend from childhood, N6KR

I hope not. I can't help that has great as the Win System is, it is like broadcasting on a syndicated radio network. Didn't mean to tie it up for such a long time.
Think that QSO was fantastic. I heard you a few weeks ago late one evening just after you got it worrking. Puzzled as to whom shut down that ling: over here or over there?
I turn my link on and off because I share it with a simplex frequency here. If I am not using it, then the Win System makes too much airtime with no one listening. I hope to put the Jerusalem repeater on the Win System through Allstar so our members can benefit from contacts with the folks on the Win System.
