I am an amateur radio operator on the island of Malta. I typically use a Yaesu FT-857D (with LDG YT-100 ATU) and a homebrew vertical fishing pole antenna via a 9:1 unun transformer either from my QTH or a 4:1 unun when /P. I'm assisted with cqrlog and rigctld on a home-assembled Linux machine with rig control, when at my QTH.

Best wishes!

During typical /P operation from JM75EV (NW of Malta - town of Bingemma & Mgarr)

Other typical /P areas I operate from are the following:

Dingli Cliffs - JM75EU (W of Malta) -See below a glimpse of the spectacular view from cliff edge.

Other random places around the island - ask me when you hear me on the air!

Check out my amateur photography gallery at http://www.flickr.com/trevorsammut:to get a glimpse of Malta and a few other places around Europe that I've visted.
