Click for more detail... I was introduced to ham radio by a friend while we were on a business trip to China back in 1997. He shared with me on various topics related to ham radio and about learning CW as well. I told him that ham radio is a very interesting hobby indeed. I will get a license someday. He is Etsuji "Eddy" Hashimoto (JR1TLD). Back in Malaysia, I was lucky enough to meet a ham in the year 2001. Muniandy (9M2DY), who is also working in the same salt mine, is passionate enough to share with me on this subject. Finally, MCMC announced that they will organize an RAE in 2003. I got my ticket as 9W2CCY, and has been operating mostly on 2m since. Last year (2004), MCMC announced that all the 9W's can now operate on 70cm, 6m and 10m, in addition to the existing 2m. Beside these bands, I also work 40m, 20m, and 15m using the club callsign 9M2CPU. I am also on Echolink whenever I have the time for one-to-one rag chewing. Hope to meet you on the air someday!
