Click for more detail... The AA9VP Station consists of the following gear: A Yaesu FT-1000 transceiver for HF. A ten tec 1208 6 meter transverter a 100 watt homebrew SS amp on 6 meters and a ten tec 1210 plus a Mirage B108 80 watt amp for 2 meters. 432 MHZ operation is planned for the near future. I also have a Kenwood tm261 2mtr fm trans. but I don't like 2m fm that much. Too much like glorifided CB. (leave that for the no code people) hi hi Other junk on the desk is this a Radio Shack Minimus 77 speaker, an old vocal microphone converted with a Heil HC-5 cartridge, a set of Bencher CW paddles with a MFJ memory keyer on top, and a home brew 20 amp 13.8v power supply. Here are the antennas at the present time: 27ft-11 ele. 2mtr beam (horz. pol.) 25ft-3ele. 6mtr beam (horz.) Multi band inverted vee for 40 20 15 and 10 at 23 feet. G5RV mainly for 75 meters My favorite band is 40 meter cw, and 6 meter phone, both a challange. I have been a Ham for over 37 years. I was first WN9LDW at the age of 12. This was in 1972. In 1974 became WB9LDW general class. After about a 4 year inactive period in the 80's I had to reapply for my license and received the call N9DDH. In 1998 I decided to upgrade and passed both the advanced and extra in one sitting, (including the 20 wpm code) and for now hold AA9VP.
